FAQ

PRODUCT SPECIFIC QUESTIONS

What makes your products different from other cleaning and disinfecting
products?

Our Good To Go products have no harsh chemicals and/or toxic fumes to affect how
they can be used. Our hospital grade hypochlorous acid (HOCl) solution cleans,
sanitizes and disinfects surfaces everywhere from restaurants to homes to hospitals.
They are naturally derived, sustainable and eco-friendly. In addition, they are
equally effective as the more toxic products on the market.

What is HOCL?

Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is an infection-fighting compound found naturally in human white blood cells. Inside of the body, HOCl works to fight off bacteria and viruses. Wecan replicate this solution by running an electrical charge through a combination of salt and water.

How does HOCl work?

HOCl works to break down the cells that are creating an infection by destroying the cell membrane and its DNA, thus halting its replication or growth process. The human body produces HOCl to reverse markers of epidermal aging, protect against environmental aggressors and cleanse the skin. When utilized as an application outside the human body, a PH-neutral HOCl solution, like Clean Republic, works in much the same way.

Do your products contain any other additives like fragrances? What do they smell like?

Our products do not contain any additives, as this would destabilize our hypochlorousacid (HOCl) solution. It does have a very slight chlorine smell, which dissipates almost immediately.

Is it effective against all kinds of pathogens including COVID-19?

Our products have been proven effective against pathogens including Salmonella (Salmonella enterica ATCC 10708), Swine Flu H1N1 (Swine Influenza virus (H1N1) ATCC VR99), E-Coli (Escherichia-Coli O157: H7 ATCC 35150), Listeria (Listeria Monocytogenes), Staph (Staphylococus aureus ATCC 6538), and MRSA (Staphylococusaureus MRSA ATCC 33591).  In addition, products containing Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) are on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) List N, validating their ability to kill SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

Where can your products be used?

It can be used in hospitals, nursing homes, doctor’s offices and other medical facilities, schools and nurseries, hotels and retail stores, athletic/recreational facilities, restaurants, food service establishments and food processing areas, or any location with high touch areas requiring disinfection. Since our entire product line is free of harsh chemicals and fumes, it can be used safely without any harmful side effects.

Are your products the same as a diluted bleach solution?

No. Our product line is not a diluted bleach solution. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl), is in a different oxychlorine classification that is unlike sodium hypochlorite (also known as bleach). The pH of our products is in a neutral range that almost matches the pH of the dermal (skin) layer of humans. Bleach solution, has a much higher pH, is not shelf stable, and has to be used quickly to be an effective disinfectant.

As a disinfectant, what is the advantage of hypochlorous acid over traditional products?

Most pathogens, particularly water born, will develop resistance to disinfectants such as sodium hypochlorite (bleach) over time, rendering them less effective. In comparison, hypochlorous acid (HOCl) solutions have been proven to remain effective over time on those pathogens.

What is the shelf life and how do I store it?

Our products have no harmful preservatives, so they are best used within 6 months, as long as they are stored in a dark and cool place out of direct sunlight. Storage temperature should be between 40 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Can I use the exact same disinfectant at home that they use in schools, restaurants, and hospitals?

Yes. It is safe as long as the directions on the label are followed. Since they have no dangerous chemicals or toxic fumes, our disinfectant is gentle enough to use around people, plants, pets and food prep surfaces.

What is a Hospital-Grade Disinfectant?

The EPA puts disinfectants through rigorous testing to prove their efficacy and measure toxicity. To be designated as hospital grade, a disinfectant must destroy or irreversibly inactivate certain microorganisms on hard, inanimate surfaces and objects. It must be found to eliminate pathogens like Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella cholerasuis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In addition, products are assigned to a toxicity category, ranging from category 1 (highly toxic) to category 4 (no exposure warnings required on the label). Products using a hypochlorous acid (HOCl) solution have received an EPA category 4 rating for any type of exposure with the exception of eye irritation, if direct contact is made.

What is the PPM (Parts Per Million) for your products?

To maximize efficacy, all of our products have a minimum PPM of 700, higher than similar ones on the market.

Do I need to wipe up this product after spraying?

In most cases, you do not need to wipe up — just spray and go. For sensitive electronics like touchscreens, we do recommend wiping the hypochlorous acid (HOCl) solution off after 30 seconds.

Can the disinfectant be used as a hand sanitizer?

Yes. As our disinfectant product is all natural and eco-friendly, it is safe to use on and around your body and won't harm your hands. However, it is intended for surfaces only. If you would like a “skin-specific” product, please try our Good To Go All-Natural Hand Cleanser.

What’s the difference between a Disinfectant and a Cleanser?

Cleansers are not registered with the EPA and cannot make public health claims on their label such as killing germs or having any anti-microbial action.

Is the Good To Go All Natural Hand Cleanser safe for kids?

Yes, it is. Our products are made by applying an electric charge to a salt and water solution, creating Hypochlorous Acid, a chemical compound naturally produced by the human body as part of our immune response. This all-natural product does not contain any carcinogens or harmful synthetic chemicals.

Is the Good To Go All Natural Hand Cleanser also a sanitizer? What is the difference between these two types of products?

Our all-natural, non-toxic Hand Cleanser is a cleanser not a sanitizer. It has been proven to moisten hands and stimulate natural healing, comparable to washing your hands with soap. It contains Hypochlorous Acid, the infection-fighting compound found in the human body. Our all-natural, non-toxic Hand Cleanser is used to protect against toxins, help fight bacteria, and cleanse the skin. Unlike a traditional hand sanitizer our Hand Cleanser does not contain alcohol.
